So, Story time turned into playgroup Half the women in my playgroup were there (okay 2 women in my playgroup were there)

The country of the week was Mexico….the kids were all pretty good. I got to met Lyndi’s dad (the little girl Will crawled to). It turns out that this man and baby I was starring at and trying to place was another woman in playgroup’s husband .. I’ve never seen him but I JUST KNEW that baby was Samantha. Aparently he was talking to his wife and mentioned I had a little boy about the same age and I was in a wheelchair and she knew it was me right away (he wasnt at story time, just Lyndi’s dad)

AFter story time Lyndi’s parents and I (and Will and the girl I am watching) went to Whole Foods for lunch. . . we decided we must meet there as a FULL playgroup some day.

Next week my mom is coming because Iam getting/have a pressure sore and need to stay off my butt. They are very common among paralyzed people and they are a bitch to get rid of …basically I need to stay in bed or on the couch either on my back or my side so I dont put pressure there … and it’s directly under my tailbone. The thinner the person the easier they are too get and my tailbone sticks out a lot so ..

My baby fell off the bed today

The little girl I am watching was playing with him on the floor and I had my back turned putting clothes in the drawere and all of a sudden a hear a swoosh sound and a thunk then a SCREAM…

She put him on the bed and walked over to the side to get on herself and he fell back. . .She didnt put him DIRECTLY on the edge (but close enough)

Poor kid was more scared then I think Will or I was. She’s only 6 so she really doesnt know any better and I didnt expect her to put him on the bed so no one is really to blame. I told her it was okay and that she wasnt in trouble, but she needed to let me know if she wanted to climb on the bed and play instead.

It’s not that she cant carry/pick him up…that she can do .. .she just didnt realze he could fall off that easily.

Will on the other hand is ok, I gave him tylenol to ward of the inevitable headache (I know I’d have one heck of a headache anyways ) He nursed and cried a little and then Baby Looney toons distracted him and he was fine.

I probably sound like a HORRIBLE Mommy for not being totally freaked, but I have been around kids and babies my ENTIRE life and it’s a fact of life .. kids fall down and off things and they get over it and are okay .. just comfort them and of course make SURE they are ok. Freaking only makes them react more dramatically later.2

Weekend update:

Saturday we didnt do much, I think
we sleep late and napped when WIll did and headed over to Josh’s
apartment around 4. We took Will swimming (and he kicked and swam!!!)

The we had burgers and/or fish and played Poker ( I kicked @$$) with Josh’s parents.

Josh’s stepdad wants to give WIll EVRYTHING (dr.pepper, burgers, fish, queso, chips, tofu ice cream … ANYTHING AND EVERYTHNG )

Josh’s parents left the same time we did which was almost midnight.

Sunday we went back to Josh’s and swam more and played more poker. That was about it for SUnday.

My baby CRAWLED to one of the little girls when we FIRST GOT THERE!!!!!!!

Playgroup was fun. We made rattles out of mini water bottles, beads and misc small items. We used rubber cement to help keep the lid on so baby cant dismantle it!!

Okay!! Playgroup went GREAT!!! I was only able to stay an hour because we had to shuffle cars but it was fun and the moms were awesome and the babies were soo precious!!

There was one other boy and 3 girls. The other boy was only 3 months old but he was a little chubster!!! Two of the girls were 9 months and one just turned a year old!

Next time we should have a mom with Boy/Girl twins and supposedly a few other moms are interested so we will see if they ever show up.

From now on we will meet THURSDAYS at 10:30 instead of Fridays!!! One of the moms is a flight attendant (part-time; maybe 8 days a month) and often flies on Fridays so those arent the bests days for her!!

We did it (lowered the crib.

Our crib only has 2-3 settings… High, Low and Lower —although I think one ofthe low settings is for when its a toddler bed

we spent 10 HOURS cleaning the garage today

There were a ton of boxes from baby stuff and camping gear, decorations, tools and a ton of leaves and packing peanuts but we got it done!!

We got the 05 Sentra….not sure if it’s going to be mine or dhs though . . . i currently have an 02 Infiniti that i love, but there is something exciting about a BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW CAR!!!!

However, we wil have to see….once we get the hand controls on it and i drive it i may not like it nearly as much.

Oooh .. While I am thiking about it .. I LOVE/HATE places like TJ MAXX and ROSS . . I dont think I have ever actually gone in and bought anything .. I always go to a department store and pay full price or their sale price.

The employees are NEVER polite and their dressing room attendants are clueless.

When I go to a REAL store at the mall; Most(99%) of the time if I need a dressing room, I dont have to wait for a handicapped one because the people that work at those stores are smart enough to make sure the other 5-20 dressing rooms are full before putting someone that doesnt need the handicapped stall in it .. KWIM??

But almost everytime I have gone to TJ MAXX or ROSS they have 15 empty stalls with doors that open in and one huge stall that opens out and therefore is accessible and it has someone in it ….GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Just a vent

We didnt see any fireworks this past weekend but it was still fun, we just hung out with DH’s dad and then we met Hillary (tink) for lunch on monday at Chik-fil-A. Her little girl is sooo cute. Monday afternoon we picked up the girls and thats been about it.

Last night we ate chinese and got a 10ish foot pool (across NOT deep) for the girls to play in so we dont have to fight the neighborhood crowds

Will ate his first Zwebec cookie in a mesh feeder and I THINK he has said his FIRST WORD . . It sounds like he says “yeah”. although I’ve always thought he said “ninny” (what I call nursing).

OOH and tonight we are going to look at new cars for DH .. our lease on the TRUCK (XterrA) is up and we want to get something cheaper.

Before I forget I need to record something my little dude did.

We were at Chil’s and I was BFing him. . he got milk on his nose and grabbed a napkin off the table and wiped his nose; then put the napkin down. .. not sure if was just a coincidence or what.

this weekend is going to be hard because we had plans to go visit daddy this weekend
